In Perfect Balance

Hemp provides some of the very best plant proteins of any of the foods in the world. Not only does hemp have a large percentage of protein per mass of seed, but that protein is primarily comprised of the easily digestible varieties. With hemp's high digestibility and the fact it contains all 9 essential amino acids, hemp seed makes an ideal source of vegetable based protein. Another benefit is that hemp seed does not contain sugars or trypsin inhibitors, which are contained in soy and which may inhibit the digestion of protein.

When you eat your hemp seed with the shell on, you also benefit from the added fibre which again does even more good for your digestion, assisting with the movement of foods through your digestive system.

  • Nutritionally Dense: Hemp is among an elite list of foods that are considered nutritionally dense: high in nutrients but low in calories containing minerals, vitamins, carbohydrates, lean proteins and healthy fats.
  • Highly Digestible: The proteins in hemp seed are primarily made up of the most digestible form, providing an excellent source of vegetable-based proteins.
  • Good Fats: The fats in hemp, while rich at @50% of total volume, are made up of the most nutritionally beneficial poly and monounsaturated fats, containing very low saturated fats and 0% trans fat.
  • Vitamin Rich: The vitamin and mineral content of hemp seed includes small amounts of calcium, vitamin B6, folate and riboflavin. Medium amounts of iron, thiamine, and zinc. High amounts of phosphorus and magnesium and very high amounts of manganese.
  • Gluten-Free: By maintaining separation between hemp seed and other grain crops, we can produce a product which is truly 100% gluten-free. There is absolutely no gluten that naturally occurs in hemp seed.
